HAS Jewellery-Unique in itself!Since ancient times human uses Jewellery to express status and personality.
Until today we like to give our appearances a personal touch, which reflects our personality,
taste, moods and sometimes symbolizes also certain status in the society.
Within my work I emphasize and underline the aspect of uniqueness.
Each of us in unique and has its own special personality, like each of my Jewellery.
All pieces are unique and individual crafted by hand. The material used is
Sterling Silver 925,gold 9k/18k and copper most of the time in combination with ceramics.
Each item of Jewellery has got its own little story to tell. It is a piece of art and
should be respected as such.
After being designed to a specific theme, the ceramic needs to be made first.
The ceramic reflects with its colour, shape or in print the topic. Than the silver
gets sculptured with heat and set around the ceramic. Due to the technique I use,
I will never be able to produce an exact duplicate and therefore each piece becomes
the value of uniqueness and makes the person, who wares it special.
When designing a piece, I am very influenced by the beauty of the Maltese island,
their unique landscape and fascinating colours. Therefore one finds often symbols
incorporated in the art work.
