On this page we would like to give you a preview of our work,  which we will show at the
ART & more gallery in Vienna from 22th to 30th December

Dez

This exhibition has been a very thoughtful, retrospective and fun collaboration thanks to today's technology for us.
Although we know each other for 25 years and have worked together in the past, it is the first time Anna and I have exhibited our art together and hopefully it won't be the
last.
We both like to use acrylics and other different media - such as ceramic, silver, felt. However the theme we chose for this exhibition has made us reflecting our personal feelings, experiences and thoughts in an individual way, which eventually leads into a common path.
There are also elements in some of  the work which are very personal and even could be interpreted as  'art of woman'.
We invite people to come and enjoy
HEIM AT Art & more Gallery with us.

Art & More Gallery watet auf euch/Sie!

Hermine A. Sammut:
When Anni and me thought about a common title four our exhibition and we agreed on HEIMAT (home land) my thoughts started to go wild. My first question I asked myself was what country actually is my home country, the one I live in or is it the one I grew up in? Until now I have not found an answer, but to one conclusion I came HEIM (home) is for me there where I feel home and this depends not on the country it depends on the people around me, the people I live and share my every day life and therefore I have more than one "HEIMAT"  Austria the country which shaped the greatest part of my personality. Parents, brother, grand parents and my friends which  shared my life are still make me feel home every time I come back. And there is Malta the country I live in now. A loving husband a son and my new friends, who giving me a HEIMAT (home) away from home. In this exhibition I want to present my Maltese home country which influences and inspires my work in the last years, I also want to introduce one home to the other home and share my present life with the people of my 1st home.

About me:
Born March 1965 in Vienna - ity of music and art. I grew up in a very creative family which was the base of my creativity.
In 1986 I qualified as a teacher. Through self-teaching and attending specified courses I developed my artistic and creative skills and was permitted to teach Art & Crafts at schools. In 1995 I married a Maltese and moved to Malta. There I continued my studies at the Art School Ghajnsielem and at private lessons. From 1996 to 2003 I lectured Art, Craft & Design and German at the ITS Malta. Since 2004 I have participated in & organized exhibitions locally and abroad, showing my contemporary 3 dimensional artworks, sculptures and jewellery, inspired by the colours of the island Gozo. I like to reflect my impressions, feelings and thoughts in acrylic paintings, 3 dimensional artwork, sculptures and designer jewellery. Lately I try to incorporate waste in my work, using the waste product’s colour, media or previous use to symbolize a meaning and my thoughts. I love experimenting with new media, getting to know properties and characteristics and hope to have set with my last exhibition an example of “reincarnation of waste”. Today’s world needs to find new use and value for our creation of waste!

psyche 4 art –art 4 psyche
